The inverted in-line 3 cylinder engine, being long and thin, lends itself to the LongEz application.
Mounted in the rear, it has the inter cooler on the left-lower cowling, and the oil cooler on the right lower cowling.
The water radiator is mounted in the bottom centre of the lower cowling, inside a NACA inlet.
The engine mount was designed using the standard Lycoming design modified to fit the WAM 120. The design was subjected to an FEA by Black Art Composites (Finite element analysis) which looked at many stress scenarios.
